Partly Facetious: Qadri too cannot leave country
"It's like come to my house said the spider to the fly."
"Excuse me?"
"Well, it is like that isn't it? Pervez Musharraf came to this country and is not being allowed to leave and Tahirul Qadri too cannot leave though I don't think his name is on the Exit Control List yet."
"As Pervez Rashid says the two came of their own volition but will leave after the law allows them to."
"Well, to be fair Musharraf came to re-establish himself as the head of government, there was a slight miscalculation on his part..."
"Slight?"
"Well, OK, a lot besides he came when Zardari sahib was still President, I sincerely doubt if he would have come had Nawaz Sharif been the head of government."
"OK, so he came, he could not conquer and then he could not leave."
"Right, so any delusions Musharraf may have had of being a Caesar proved grossly miscalculated."
"What?"
"Isn't there a saying of Caesar's vini, vidi vici which translated means I came, I saw, I conquered."
"One out of three isn't bad when you are a retired chief of army staff."
"Technically he also saw."
"Don't be facetious."
"Anyway, Qadri came during the tenure of the present government and there I agree with you, the PML-N has emerged as the spider and Qadri is clearly the fly."
"Yep, but I have one complaint against the government."
"Only one?"
"Well, regarding the matter of Qadri and his supporters. Why doesn't the government catch lawyers who are beating up policemen as well as the lower judiciary - I mean surely that needs doing."
"It needs doing but the PML-N is choosing its battles..."
"If the battle with the establishment is of the PML-N choosing then I am sorry they need to be more selective in choosing."
"They are which is why only a couple of appointments with respect to heads of autonomous and constitutional positions have been made more than a year after PML-N cabinet took oath."
"Don't be facetious."
